Subject: Why Wallaby Jim?-he didn't have a pouch
This could have been a pretty good south seas adventure yarn. The plot was good. The acting was fine. The problem with this film is that every few minutes "Wallaby" broke out in a musical number. It wasn't a musical, the lyrics were not part of the plot (the movie, sans songs would have stood up by itself, with only his singing "lady with the two left feet" in just the way it was sung in the movie). These were just songs. He had a nice voice but a singing character in an islands adventure just didn't work. Still, I suggest the movie because of the story and acting. There was a lighter stripe at the very bottom of the screen, but it didn't create any problems viewing the image.
